About

Number 1 Electric Sign Company in Jefferson City, MO

In 1976, Junior and Judy Dietzel purchased the assets of G & H Electric Sign Company and launched their own company under the Bee Seen Signs name. Junior Dietzel chose the name because he liked the creative play on words.

When Junior and Judy started the company, their motto was, “Customer satisfaction, before and after the sale.” This commitment to their clients remains the foundation of how Bee Seen Signs operates to this day.

Over the last 39 years, Bee Seen Signs has grown and adapted to the rapid advances in the sign industry. Bee Seen Signs has adopted several advanced tools and technologies to ensure that we can handle our custom signage jobs in-house.

In 1985, Bee Seen Signs expanded to Columbia with the addition of a new branch office.

Bee Seen Signs now employs 12 people, and each employee brings experience from different facets of the custom signage industry. This gives Bee Seen Signs the unique ability to take on sign projects of any size or type, right here in Mid-Missouri.

Bee Seen Signs provides sign making services throughout the Mid-Missouri area. We have several trucks and cranes to ensure that your custom sign installation job can be completed quickly.

Bee Seen Signs is now a woman-owned company. In December of 2008, Judy Dietzel acquired the majority of the stock and was voted president of the company. Bee Seen remains a family-owned company; their sons, Tony and Travis, also own shares in the business.

HARD-WORKING, COMPETITIVE, HUMOROUS
Driving down Whitton Expressway, it’s difficult to miss the sign showcasing the goings on at the Miller Performing Arts Center. A statement piece, the sign is an artistic label of the old building. “The sign was a vision of my husband’s,” says Judy Dietzel. “With thoughts of the World Trade Center and the steel protruding from the ground after 9/11, he drew it on a napkin and gave it to our son, who came up with the architectural design.” Bee Seen Signs & Vinyl Graphics was established in 1976, the vision of Judy’s husband, Junior. In 1987, Judy joined Junior in the business, incorporating Bee Seen Ad Specialties, Inc. in 1990. Due to her hard work and love for the business, Judy became president of the company in 2008. Truly a family affair (Judy and Junior’s sons, Tony and Travis, are also co-owners), BSS works closely with their clients and each other to provide a spectacular product. “We’ve always kept up with technology,” says Judy. “We were the first in the state to go with machines to cut vinyl, with more tech and equipment brought in since.” This work ethic began at a young age for Judy. Her first job was as a carhop at age 12, and she hasn’t stopped working since. “I learned the value of hard work by working hard,” she says.
