Artwork Information
What program(s) should I use?
Here is a list of file formats we prefer. (Please call us if you cannot provide one of these formats.)
Layout files:
- Adobe Illustrator (versions CS2 or earlier)
- Adobe InDesign (version CS2 or earlier)
- CorelDRAW 8
Photos or images:
- TIFF (.tif)
- Adobe Photoshop (up to version CS3) (.psd)
- Adobe Photoshop EPS (.eps) - with 8-bit TIFF preview
- Windows Bitmaps (.bmp)
- Corel Photo-Paint (.cpt)
- Photo CD (.pcd)
- GIF (.gif) – accepted, but not recommended for print
- JPEG (.jpg) – accepted, but not recommended for print
Guidelines
To ensure that your project comes out perfect, please use the following guidelines for all
.AI, .EPS, PDF formatted files.
- Convert all fonts to an outline or include font(s) with file in PC format.
- Include linked photo(s) and/or image(s) with file, even if image(s) are embedded.
- Make sure image resolution is appropriate and in CMYK or RGB color mode.
- Make sure image is in correct proportion to desired finished size.
- Do not compress or encode file.
- If color is print up to the edge set a 1/8” bleed on artwork.
- Any font smaller that 8 pt may appear fuzzy or may not print properly.

for typos and/or other artwork errors. Color you see on your monitor will not match
the final print. We highly recommend to our customers to check all spelling and
artwork from a physical proof before final approval to print.
